My problem

Well…one of many (including improper use of ellipsis and an overuse of parenthetical statements). I think I use so many parenthetical statements to avoid overusing commas, another problem of mine along with going off on tangents…like this one (ellipsis!)

The problem I am referring to in the title is none of the above however. It’s that I don’t just want to write blurbs, I want to write essays. I recently finished Amazing Grace, Eric Metaxas’ biography of William Wilberforce, and it made me have thoughts. Deep thoughts. Deep, meaningful thoughts. Many of these I voiced to Sonja (lucky girl), and while I was explaining them to her I’d have another thought about the subject (I believe the term is “rambling”).

How do I get all that down in a blog post? I know I’m gonna start and then have another thought and another and revise and rewrite. I know going in that it’s going to be a long process, and I just don’t see the value of doing so. Especially if I don’t believe anyone is going to read it. I mean, if I just want to explore these thoughts I can do so in my own head or in a conversation with Sonja.
